Good Morning,

My name is Brian (DolphiN Two Six), I am a member of a russian themed airsoft (strikeball) team based in the South of England.

Here is part of the team with two guys in uniform-

A photograph of me in my MVD Spetsnaz uniform - tigerstripe bekas, telnyashka, M22 assault vest, and finally my Beta Spetsnaz rifle.

As you will see this has the genuine Cobra sight!

You may have to register on the UK airsoft forum to see these, or I can e-mail them if preferred.

So do we look authentic?

I look forward to your comments.

Best Regards

Brian

Hi Brian! You're welcome!

My name is Peter and

It's a pitty but I can not open the links you've mentioned even after registration. What's the name of youe team there&

If you want to know how authentic you look and if you are interested in Russian/Soviet Spetsnaz reconstruction you may email me on petr@legalcenter.ru

By the way I'm a member of the Moscow team "British Paras" (Falklands Conflict - early 80-s) so I would appreciate any information you have about tactics, operations and weapons of the 2nd Para Batalion "C" company on Falkland Islands.

Regards

Peter

Hi Peter,

We're the DolphiN Team - see Team Forums / England / DolphiNs

http://forums.ukairsoft.net/forumdispla ... orumid=128

Most of the content of our team forum is rubbish, it is where we socialise.

I'm not sure if Russian strikeball teams are like us, but we are best friends as well as a strikeball team.

I will try and find a Red Beret team for you, there must be one.

Alas, as I can not read Russian I am at a disadvantage as I would like to understand more about how strikeball works in your country.

I have seen posts that suggest that UK players have come across to play in your country, this is something that I would like to consider in the future.

Best Regards

Brian

Hello, Dave, Brain!

It is very pleasant to see you all here. :-)

I am Gregory, and I sometimes travel to UK (for missions, but it leave me some free time). Unfortunately mostly I visit Scotland, but I am sure, that there has to be some airsofters also. Could you please help me to find such people?

And also another quaestion: have you tried to fly somewhere with airsoft gun? You see, if e.g. I'll decide to participate in some of your actions - I'll have to go with my gun... What obstacles could be (for you experience)?

Also, do you in UK use tune-ups?

Anyway, it is very interesting to see you here and to have a chance to exchange feelings and experiences.

Good luck!

Hey :) I cant comment on travelling with an airsoft gun you would have to discuss it with the airline to be safe. Regarding tune ups or upgrades I would advise you have an automatic electric gun shooting at a maximum of 328 fps (feet per second) and have a bolt action, sniper rifle at a maximum of 500 fps

Hope this helps,

Xavier

:!:
Gregory, check the British law system - I've heard from some paintballers that you can't have an obejct that shoots projectiles with more then 135 fps or some ridiculosly (fugget 'bout spellin') low speed, or it will be qualified as a firearm. Check http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk for details.

I've been asking people around in airports, and all airline representitatives told me that they will have no problem transferring your airsoft gun, as long as you don't take it with you on board, and put it in the luggage (an obvious fact, but I was told that several times by different people... figured I'd better tell you, too! :) ).
Also, when you will be checking your luggage in, make sure you tell them that you have a TOY that looks like a gun, but has no way of shooting real bullets or being modified to shoot such ("not a replica - or they might ask for additional documents" - hint from some fellow russian airsofters).
Now, I'm saying that airlines will be cool and all - but here's a tricky part - customs. I'm rather ... how should i put this... dissapointed with russian customs for their ..umm.. way of handling any situation relaited to firearms. I belive you'd have to declare your gun on the way from Russia, and how you are going to do that - I have no clue(airsoft is one big mystery for russian laws). In fact, if you succeed or not - please make sure to post here what happened in details.
Then again, I don't have any information on British customs - but something tells me they won't be too happy to deal with a "mad russian who brought a firearm to our beautiful, glorious, peaceful and vast kingdom". :)
But if brits will be cool (by the way - Brit + cool = don't mix  ), then again you'd have to deal with Russians on the way back. I mean, if you get lucky on getting your gun out, you would still have to proove to the russian customs (and law) that your 6mm is just a toy. On another hand, if you have already visited some criminalistic agencies (the ones that confirm that your gun is safe, toy, etc) beforehand, and have the documents on you - then you'll be just fine.
But mainly - arrive to the airport(s) earlier, and best luck to you! :)

Las, Peter,

Our UK airsoft forum died - we have a new one -

http://www.airsoftcommunity.co.uk/forum ... hp?act=idx

There are many strike ball (airsoft) players and sites in Scotland - have a look in the event / team forum for more information.

Thanks

Brian
