Ladies and Gentlemen,

we, several enthusiats, that are keen to develop pistol shooting airsoft in Russia and CIS, have established Academy of Pistol Shooting (Airsoft).

We teach those who are interested to develop their abilities to shoot fast and to the point. Frankly we use IPSC methods and rules.

BUT WE ARE NOT IPCS!!!

Please consider this post NOT as the advert but the INVITATION if YOU desire to participate in our COMPETITION program.

Our aim is to develop Pistol Shooting Airsoft as a separate sport within Russia and collaborate with the organizations that do develop Pistol Shooting Airsoft, too.

We will update step by step this post with the events that are going to be held in Moscow and in Russia (Pistol Shooting wise), as well as with the reports of the events that have been done by us.

"HURRICANE CUP" - 2006

On the 2nd of December 2006 Academy of Pistol Shooting has open the first tourmanent in its ACADEMY TOURNAMENT SERIES - "Hurricane Cup", sponsored by airsoft-armory shop URAGAN.

This tournament's task was to shoot fast and in target.

There were 3 exercises offered to pass through. All the participants had only one try. The winner was considered regarding the highest index (speed devided the points).

RUSSIAN CHRISTMAS CUP - 2007

Academy of Pistol Shooting has hold its second official and first qualified tournament, according to IPSC rules. Sportsmen from all over Moscow were "struggling" for this Cup.

The Tournament took place January 20th, 2007 at the IPSC shooting base (Moscow Branch) with the sponsorship package dedicated by URAGAN armory shop, General Representative of Classic Army.

We were a little bit surprised to see more participants this time, and more teams, willing to take part!

This time and this tournament differed from the previous one.

1) Qualification. If you want to fight for the CUP you will have to pass through Bill Drill with index "8". Those shooters that gained index less than 8 were allowed to participate in the tournament but were not able to qualify their results.

2) To make the process of judging easier and more impartial we introduced new system of computer shot tracing. Also singals to start shooting were given by the system. The system also allowed us to get our referee mistakes to "0".

3) Passion. There were 4 leaders after two exercises. As the result they had to pass through the final exercise LE DUELLE "EL PRESIDENTE".

1st place - Uncle Fjodr (A.I.M.) - index 7,8

2nd place - Anton (Sever) - index 6,92

3-d place - BoBB (G.I.) - index 6,7

ARMY CUP - 2007

Academy of Pistol Shooting has hold its third official tournament. Again it was Moscow and Russia overall call. But only sportsmen from Moscow were "struggling" for this Cup.

The Tournament took place February 25th, 2007 at the IPSC shooting base (Moscow Branch) with the sponsorship package dedicated by URAGAN armory shop, General Representative of Classic Army.

That time we greeted more participants and as we noticed they had prepared better for this challenge.

This time the tournament was exactly as the previous one.

1) Qualification. If you wanted to fight for the CUP you would have to pass through Bill Drill but with index "9". Those shooters that gained index less than 9 were allowed to participate in the tournament but were not able to qualify their results.

2) Again it was a challenging final at the end of the tournament with 1 leader that took the first rpize and 4 following ones that were fighting for 2 and 3 places.

So the results went in the folowing order.

1st place - Anton (Sever)

2nd place - Turtle

3-d place - Fishman
