Cool, a russian airsoftforum!
Don't understand much of the other parts of this forum, since I don't speak much russian. But I can allways hang around here with my crappy english...

Like to know what russian airsoftteams there are out there. Please share URLs if you have any, preferably one with a gallery. Thanks!

Feel free to visit my airsoftteams site @

http://rsr.airsoft.ac.

спасибо!

Done, thanks!

By the way. Does my signature make any sense?

Your signature sounds a bit funny, because consits of two languages. But the whole meaning is sensible.

I am not sure, is it interesting for you, or did you meant what you're wrote, but just FYI:
"подданный" means not 'national' exactly, but more like 'homager', 'patrial'. So this is about legal aspect, citizenship. If you meant to say that you're Swede by ethnic reading - better to use simple "Швед".

Heheh ok. "шведский подданный" looks good though...

I used an online dictionary and simply took the closest words I could find and matched them together. The meaning I was looking for is merely "Sweden". I terms of both the origin of my Team and of course me as well. "Sweden" wasn't in the dictionary...

Don't know how to translate the name of my team into something understandable either.
Guess I could translate "Red Storm Rising" into "красный шторм подниматься". Don't know if it's even remotely close.

yap

"Red Storm Rising" is awful. "The sum of all fears" is best of Tom Clancy's book.
Glad to see sweden at this site!!!

If you're going to highlight the origin of your team, as e.g. 'RSR, team from Sweden' or simplier 'RSR, Sweden' - you should use merely country name: 'RSR, Sweden' = 'RSR, Швеция'.

Structure is:
you're (ethnically, personally) - Швед
you're (legally, personally) - Шведский подданный
your country name - Швеция.
you're (mentioning that you're from Sweden) - из Швеции, or <comma> Швеция.

As for team name translation... This is really tricky question. 'Pony translation' of your team name is "Красный Шторм Встаёт". But this sounds not as good team name. Melody of language is different, and team names traditions are also differ. In Russia we rarely use verbs in such cases and even more rarely - 3-word names. Also, we usually do not use plurals. Not 'Howling Black Wolwes' but 'Black Wolf', at least 'Black Wolves', or in the end 'Howling Wolwes' and in no case 'Howling of Wolves'.

At this moment I only could suggest you following names:
'Красный Шторм' - 'Red Storm',
'Алая Буря' - 'Scarlet Storm' (sounds better),
and... sorry for my connotations... 'Red Stormtrooper' - "Красный Штурмовик". :-)
